Week 6, Sunday
In 216 BC the Roman consul Varro marched the largest army Rome had ever fielded onto the plain at Cannae, packed his legions into one enormous block in the center, and trusted the sheer weight of it to roll over Hannibal. Hannibal let the center push forward, folded both wings around it, sent his cavalry into the back of it, and by evening Rome had suffered the worst single day in its history. Ethan watched that and thought Varro was onto something.
Ethan put up 143.64, woke up 87.6 percent to win and finished Sunday at 0, the Cannae of win probability, with nobody left for Monday night and no camp to run back to. Christian Watson, projected for 18.5, folded for 9.4 right in the middle where Ethan needed the line to hold. Then Justin's Trevor Lawrence hit for 36.34, came around both flanks and fucked the commissioner from behind in front of the whole league. Varro at least lost to Hannibal, the best general of his age. Ethan lost to a man who started Harold Fannin for 2.4.
Where it stands
Love on the Spectrum (Ethan) vs Shough and Fhough (Justin)
Justin went from 12.4 percent to a lock on Trevor Lawrence's 36.34 while starting Harold Fannin for 2.4, robbing a bank with one hand stuck in his own pocket, and with nobody left on either side for Monday night he keeps the money. Thief.
Njigba’s in Paris (Peter) vs Navid
Juwan Johnson started for Peter and scored 0, Peter slid from 62.1 percent to 7.9, and all he has left is Brock Purdy on Monday night, bailing out a ship that is already on the bottom. Navid hung 192.76 on him behind Malik Nabers' 28.5, so the man whose team is named after himself is finally on top of somebody. Peter is the somebody.
