Devante: Let A Naysayer Know

A week earlier Devante left 58.1 points stranded and lost anyway, so the 69.2 version of him was already the sequel nobody asked for.

Devante paid $27 for Dohnte Meyers when the next bid was $2, overpaying by $25 for a man nobody else wanted at any price.

Devante followed his FAAB disaster by taking Tyler Huntley at pick 286, 83 spots ahead of a FantasyCalc rank of 369.

Jalen Hurts at 3.06 is Devante's second quarterback, collected before most of this league has one, hoarding the position like a man who cannot finish anything else.

Devante got Emeka Egbuka 5 spots past where FantasyCalc had him, started the receiver run Justin obediently followed, and will call that vision.

Devante took Tee Higgins at 7.06, his third receiver, three spots early and still the least offensive thing he has done all draft.

Devante used 9.06 on Bhayshul Tuten, his third running back, while Baker Mayfield sat there ranked 57th, unwanted, like a man left standing at the wedding.

Devante spent 11.06 on a 33-year-old Davante Adams, his fourth receiver, which means his entire scouting process is checking whether the name on the screen resembles his own.

DK Metcalf fell 26 spots to Devante at 13.06, his fifth receiver, which is less a strategy than a man hoarding Pittsburgh souvenirs to justify a team name that already stutters.

Devante used 15.06 on Chris Godwin, age 30, his sixth receiver, stockpiling wideouts like a garrison hoarding salt for a siege that ended two winters ago.

Devante's fourth tight end arrived at 17.06, six spots early, with Rico Dowdle still sitting there; nobody needs four tight ends, and nobody wanted the first three.

Devante's Tyjae Spears at 19.06 was his fifth running back, a position run three deep that he refuses to let end.

Devante's eighth wideout, Cyrus Allen at 21.06, kept a position run alive that nobody asked him to join.

Devante took Jerry Jeudy at 23.06, his ninth receiver, a fair-value pick that still can't explain the ninth of anything.

Devante took Darnell Mooney at 25.06, his 11th wideout, proof he would rather stockpile than ever fix his running back room.

Devante grabbed Mike Gesicki 42 spots after the market said to, his second straight pick at the position, proof he had given up steering this roster rounds ago.

Devante reached 83 spots for Tyler Huntley at 29.06, which Anish punished one pick later by stealing a real running back.

Devante's third tight end of the night, Sam Roush, came 55 spots early, cementing a draft built entirely on Dallas depth charts.

Devante reached 19 spots for Will Kacmarek at pick 326, his ninth tight end attempt at a position he keeps losing.
